Daniel Byers is a writer and director with a passion for horror, science fiction, and fantasy. His second feature, the southern gothic horror film DARK HOLLOW, is coming to theaters in September. His directorial debut ERADICATION was released to critical praise in 2022, and featured in the New York Times' top streaming horror and top streaming sci-fi. His horror screenplay PARADISE won the jury award at Austin Film Festival in Fall of 2023. His short films have played in dozens of festivals and won numerous awards. 
Daniel has also worked extensively in documentary, with projects in over 60 countries and many award winning films - ranging from trapping snow leopards in the wilds of the Hindu Kush to tracking cartels through the Honduran rainforest. His film Aguilucho: Dance of the Harpy Eagle won the Wild Animal Award at the British Documentary Film Festival.
